the 46th summer of my life

Summer evening
Me in undies
On a bed
In a cottage house
With a book in my hand
Nature breathing the hot day off
Can hear the telly downstairs
Voices
Spoons rattling against the plates
Distant sounds of people
Somewhere, far from here
Politicians are busy to screw what they can
But I don´t care
It´s lovely here
Like the summers when I was a kid
Childhood defines us more than we realize
What is left
Is stoicism
So many wise had to endure
Even worse things
